Day in my Life: 7th May 2014

When I was on LiveJournal back in the day I used to make a lot of these 'Day in my Life' type of entries. I thought I would bring it back because it's a nice way to reflect later down the track and it's fun. Unlike my highschool years, my days are quite varied. This day, I didn't have uni but I headed over to USYD to spend part of my day there.

What I see when I wake up.

If I don't have uni or work, I take my dog out to the front lawn.

Time for breakfast! Trying to eat a little healthier these days. Two weekends ago, I came to the horrifying realisation that my diet was incredibly poor.

Okay, it didn't turn out too healthy. Oatmeal (too much milk) and toast with hagelslag

I like to read the local paper. I don't really understand the point of this section. Ah well.

My new watch courtesy of A. I love it.

Very early dinner at Menya Mappen. I had the curry udon which I wasn't a big fan of truth be told.

Home time.

Although I love to put on makeup, I also love the moment when I get to take it off after a long day.

I bought these Grosby hoody slippers for $1.50!! It is funny since I was originally opposed to the idea of them as I didn't think I would wear them. Boy, was I wrong.

More work.

Trying to find new music to listen to. A fan of The Band Perry.

Guilty late night snack. Can you tell that I love cheese?

I have been trying to read the Bible. It's a very long and slow read but surprisingly I've been sticking to it. I am around halfway through the Old Testament and I have been reading most evenings for the past 3 weeks now.

  1. So many trees in your suburb! Wow haha I've never heard of hagelslag before. Looks like you had a good, chill day.

    1. Hagelslag is basically sprinkles but it's famous in the Netherlands :)

  2. Looks like you had a really interesting day. Oh my, LJ. LJ, was the centre of my life back in mid highschool. I recently dug it up and immediately regretted it. I don't like putting makeup on - I'm horrible at it, and when it does come time to take it off I agree it is a relief but I can't face my blemished face again. :(

    1. I still use LiveJournal! (Well more for the communities, ebook and ontd) I can't believe that I first started it almost a decade ago. A decade! Crazy. I definitely agree about the blemished face :( I've been breaking out like crazy for a while, no idea why.

    1. Thank you! I originally wanted to do something more structured, perhaps a gradient of the colours but then I was too much of a wimp to return to the paint and hardware store to take anymore paint chips.
