Adventures in Sydney: Hidden 2019

It is that time of the year. The yearly tradition of wandering around Sydney's largest cemetery as part of HIDDEN.

[Video] Powerhouse Museum

When I was a kid, a visit to the Powerhouse Museum in Ultimo was such a special trip. The exciting but long train ride into the city, hours spent at the museum followed by a walk to Darling Harbour. I also recall that the McDonalds next to the former Entertainment Centre sold chocolate soft serves!

[Video] Bombo

There is something special about introducing someone to a place that you've been to. A place that you hold - somewhat - close to your heart.

[Video] Melbourne

Well, this is unusual. In an attempt to encourage me to edit videos in a timely manner, I decided that I wouldn't post about my long weekend to Melbourne before I had uploaded my vlog!

More in-depth post about the trip is coming soon!

[Video] Mudgee

After my trip to Mudgee - and even before I started writing those posts - I edited my video footage. The first video in forever.

Do I regret having over a minute of footage of the road? A little. Oh well! Will remember for next time.

If you want to read about my trip it is here and here.

[Video] Ku-ring-gai Chase National Park

A few months ago, all national parks in NSW had free entry and - taking full advantage of this because who doesn't like free things - S and I headed to Ku-ring-gai Chase National Park. We parked at West Head Lookout and went on a short bushwalk to Great Mackerel Beach. Near the end of the track, it was more bushwhacking than walking. A fellow walker let us pass on the "path" and said, "you can scare away the snakes for us".

[Video] Wollongong, NSW | Travel Diary

A few weekends ago, I headed down to Wollongong, NSW for the day. I have visited the city a few times and rather than taking the same kind of photos again, I decided to attempt another travel diary. I really want to improve my videography skills and the best way to achieve this is through practice!

Also - thank you for all your kind words and comments in my previous post. I am quite a private person and despite sharing a lot of things online, there are many aspects of my life that I gloss over /  keep mum.

[Video] Day in My Life | Work Edition

I am back with another vlog style video! I mainly use my blog to document about the interesting and adventurous things that I get up to. However my life is generally a bit mundane. I work Monday to Friday from 8.30am-5pm + commute which isn't conducive to doing interesting things during the week. And also because I am lazy.

Random thoughts from this video process:
  • Finding music is a chore.
  • It seems that I bounce a lot when I walk.

Central West (Travel Diary)

Over the Easter long weekend, I went on a roadtrip to the central west region of NSW. I have already published quite a few posts about my trip and I also filmed a little! I discovered that it is hard to film anything as photography is my first priority and it becomes a hassle to switch my camera over and then retake the same thing but in a video format. Due to this, a lot of the clips are from the car when I was driving!

Finding music for videos is also so difficult!

Jervis Bay (Travel Diary)

Last weekend the boyfriend and I headed down the coast to Jervis Bay. Similar to my first trip 3 years ago, the weather was dreary and it was the complete opposite of beach weather. Nonetheless, it was a wonderful weekend away we also went on a boat cruise to see dolphins! I have made a video diary of my trip. Please ignore the smudge in the top third of the frames, it is something on my sensor.

Of course, I will have posts with photos at a later point!

Happy Friday / Weekend everyone!

A Day in My Life (Video)

I have decided that 2017 is the year where I will branch out and learn new things. Back in my Livejournal heydays, I spent hours upon hours learning Adobe Photoshop and HTML / CSS coding. For the past few years, I've been quite stagnant and haven't picked up any new hobbies. I love photography, however the post processing is quite ... boring and I usually edit my photos as I am watching a movie / tv show. I have previously done A Day in My Life posts however I thought it would be different to have it in video format! It was a little difficult to film things as I spent 8 hours a day at work + 2 hours of commute. Nonetheless, my first video and plenty of room for improvement!
