Exams Exams Exams

For the past few days, I have been preparing for my exams and studying has not been going as well as I would have liked. Although it has gone according to plan thus far which may seem a little contradictory. I have recycled countless of pieces of paper with my scrawl/ handwriting as I answer problem questions and calculate accounting exercises.

Arguably. Most likely my most used word in problem questions with 'contentious', 'problematic' and 'likely' closely following behind in usage.

I bought an Olympus Trip 35 mm around 4 months ago and never got around to using it since I couldn't figure out how to manually load the film. My other film camera is battery operated and hence the camera automatically winds and rewinds film. I actually have 2 Olympus Trip 35 mm cameras, however the other one is faulty and I have yet found the time to fix the problem. To be honest, I am not entirely sure if this one is working and if anything I take has actually been exposed to the film. I guess I shall see when I take it to get the film developed.

"It's Raining, it's Pouring"

Darling Harbour 1

Darling Harbour 2
The weather is being a little temperamental lately. Two weeks ago it was ridiculously warm and only this morning it was pouring and incredibly windy. I don't particularly like my phone's camera (Google/Samsung Nexus S) since it tends to take very out of focused images compared to my old phone - Samsung. I know that phones are meant to be phones, but considering the speed of research and development I would have thought that the camera function on the phone would have been better. I'm too scared that I will lose my camera when I normally am at University.

Mulberries and Books

Books books books

I love visiting second hand bookstores like this. The musty smell is somewhat intoxicating and addictive that is, until my friend informed me that spores were probably floating in the air.

Mulberries. I love mulberries and they have been in my life for a very long time. The very first mulberry I ate was at my pre-school (yes my pre-school days) where my mum pointed out the tree and being the clean freak that I was, I clearly remember picking a mulberry and taking it to the washroom to wash any dirt from the fruit whilst all my fellow 4 year old classmates were huddled around the tree stuffing their faces. The red berry stained faces and fingers. Fast forward to middle school where my friends and I discovered the mulberry tree in the 'out of bounds' area of the school. I remember us rushing at recess and lunch to the tree and picking off the fruits from the trees. And to the present where every year I wait for spring due to the mulberry tree on my road. I believe it may be someone's tree actually but it is next to the footpath and thus technically not their property. Though it is embarrassing to be plucking the berries off the tree as the road is fairly busy and the front door of the house is effectively directly across from the tree.

When I grow up buy my own place, I definitely want to plant a whole row of mulberry trees.

Viva la Diva Metallic

Chi Chi Lips 1
I am a big fan of red lips although I rarely wear it for two reasons a) it's too much effort to retouch after eating or drinking and b) it stands out (obviously) and I just get asked too many awkward questions. I have been eying this lipstick colour for weeks now, patiently waiting for the special that I knew would happen eventually. My coworker actually showed me the colour and it's really amazing. It's Chi Chi's Viva la Diva Metallic lipstick.

Chi Chi Lips 3

The colour isn't that red nor is it exactly metallic. It's a redish-pink so maybe the pink shimmery aspect is how it's considered metallic. Overally, I really like the colour and I was complimented by my friend at University the other day :) I am a little sad that the lipstick has this crack/line at the top because I forgot to check it before purchasing it but it doesn't really bother me.
